Full Professor of Econometrics (1992). MSc in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1978) and PhD in Economics from New York University (1986). She joined CUNEF as a Full Professor in 2000, and has been the Chair of the Bachelor in Business Administration since 2014. She was also the Director of the Department of Quantitative Methods from 2011 to 2020. A good portion of her academic carrier was spent at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (on leave since 2011), where she was the Chair of the Instituto Complutense de Análisis Económico (1999-2006).
She was an independent member of the Board of Directors at Abengoa S.A. (2005-2016), Head of Balance Sheet Management in Caja Madrid (1996-1999) and Coordinator in charge of the Area of Economics and Law in the Spanish Commission of Science and Technology (1993-1996).
