    BBA + Master in Data Science

    The BBA + Master in Data Science is intended to train professionals capable of working in the fields of management, consultancy and appraisal at any type of organisation. These tasks are developed in the global area of the organisation, or in any of its functional areas: production, human resources, financing, marketing and commercialisation, investment, administration or accounting.

    During their university course, students develop general and specific knowledge of the functioning of all the areas of the company depending on the missions and strategic direction of the company or organisation. Knowledge which is supplemented by developing the necessary skills while at university to identify and anticipate opportunities, assign resources, organise information, select and motivate people, reach decisions, achieve the targets that have been set, and evaluate results.

    The Master in Data Science in its three specialisations (Finance, Marketing and Human Resources) is designed to train professionals interested in developing a professional career as managers of huge volumes of information in the activity of financial institutions. The aim is to provide the participants with the generic knowledge related to the technologies and tools used in the management of corporate information, and their practical application in the finance industry.

    This is a practical programme, with learning opportunities applied to the challenges faced by companies concerning the management of new sources of information in constant growth. To do so, it combines basic courses in Big Data technologies, analysis and information management, with applied knowledge concerning the analysis and management of data for the financial, marketing and human resources sectors.

    The Bachelor in Business Administration + Master in Data Science  has the following hallmarks:

    • Programme intensity: this is an intensive programme that requires a full-time commitment by the students.
    • Two degrees in 5 years (300 ECTS).
    • Two professional placements abroad during terms 8 and 10.
    • All students complete the course with a high level of English, equivalent to C1 (they must demonstrate this level through an internal or external exam).
    • Mentors from the very first year who will accompany them during their time at the centre and whose mission it is to provide them with the resources to successfully develop their career within the institution and then during their professional placement.
    • It includes distinguishing elements, therefore the Degree in BAM + Master in Data Science has all the ingredients so that the road to success is clear and reinforced for students having studied at CUNEF.

    Three specialisations

    The syllabus for the Master in Data Science comprises the optional subjects that form each one of the three specialisations, which are taught in English:

    • Data Science in Finance and Insurance: the advantages generated by its application in the world of finance will allow the data scientist to better perform the segmentation of the client, analyse markets and trends, improve the predictive capacity when analysing and managing risk (credit and operational) and detect fraud and money laundering.
    • Data Science in Digital Marketing: the advantages generated by its application in marketing will allow the data scientist to understand the tastes and needs of consumers through the management and analysis of data that the company receives through the different means of communication and the promotion of its products. By carrying out searches, comparisons and visualisations, they will obtain advantages for their companies over other competitors
    • Data Science in Digital Human Resources: the advantages generated by its application in Human Resources will allow the data scientist to obtain valuable information on people required by the company and carry out a more analytical and strategic selection process as well as identify occasional problems and create strategies to remedy them, and also detect the level of satisfaction of the employees of the company and whether the opportunities for development are being taken advantage of or not.
