Biography
Jesús Zarzalejos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law at CUNEF Universidad. Law Degree (1986) and PhD in Law (1989) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Since 1986 he has been a Professor of Procedural Law at various public and private universities and affiliated institutions (Universidad Carlos III, Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles, and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid), teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He is currently Coordinator of the Procedural Law Department at CUNEF Universidad and Delegate of the Rector for Academic Discipline. Accredited by ANECA as Associate Professor (2024) and with two recognized six-year research periods (2023). Practicing lawyer since 1989. Permanent member of the Procedural Law Section of the General Codification Commission (2015). Since 1994 he has been a contributor to the written press and radio.

Investigation of the system of safeguards in civil and criminal proceedings.
Professional Career
Practicing lawyer, member of the Madrid Bar Association (Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía Madrileña) since 1989 and head of the procedural law department at several law firms
Editorial writer and columnist for the Vocento Group from 1994 to 1998; and for the newspaper ABC since 1998
Permanent member of the Procedural Law Section of the General Codification Commission since 2015
