Full Professor at CUNEF since September 2014.
Chair of Financial Economics at the Universidad de Oviedo since 1991, Prof. Fernández served as Dean of the School of Business and Economics and as Vice-Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies at that university. From 2010 to 2014, she was a Member of the Board of the Spanish Securities Exchange Commission (CNMV), and her role had an international scope due to the Commission’s position within the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). She was the Chair of the Spanish Academy of Management (ACEDE), where she was also the editor of the Academy’s official journal, Business Research Quarterly (BRQ).
She has published a significant number of papers and participated in multiple international Conferences.
She has extensive experience in Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets.
