Beatriz Escudero received a Bachelor in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in 2003, with an average mark of 9.52/10. She was awarded a scholarship by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where she earned an Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA). She completed her PhD between Madrid and Munich, supervised by Prof. Schünemann and Prof. Gimbernat. She won an Outstanding PhD Award from the UCM in 2010. She has been a Professor at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad Carlos III and Universidad CEU San Pablo, as well as an Honorary Collaborator in the Criminal Law Department of the UCM and an Honorary Assistant in the Department of Criminal and Procedural Law in Seville. She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
