Elena Cerdá-Mansilla has a PhD in Economics and Innovation Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Complutense University of Madrid and the Polytechnic University of Madrid, obtaining the international mention with distinction “Cum Laude”.
Her main research focuses on studies related to innovation and technologies. The vast majority of her research focuses on the impact of technologies in the tourism sector. However, she has also investigated in sectors such as higher education. Furthermore, Elena has presented papers at national and international conferences and has published in international journals of notable impact, such as Tourism Management Perspectives, Knowledge Management Research & Practice or Spanish Journal of Marketing.
Elena was a professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid from 2019 to 2023 through the acquisition of a FPU contract from the Ministry of Universities and she received Accreditation as a contracted doctoral professor and as a doctoral professor at a private university in 2024.
