BIO
Ignacio Calatayud’s career has evolved in two areas that necessarily have to converge to reach an optimal level of knowledge of the legal world: on one hand, academic and research work and, on the other, the practice of the legal profession.
As a result of his research, he earned a PhD in Law from the University of Bologna on February 23, 2002, with a doctoral thesis titled "The principle of no taxation without representation and European Community Law".
He has been a Professor of Public Law at CUNEF since September 2009, and he also works as a lawyer.

PhD in Law from the University of Bologna (2002).
Scholarship from the Royal College of Spain, Bologna, Italy, (2000-2002) and Research Scholarship at the Department of Public, Financial and Tax Law of the Universidad de Granada awarded by the Ministry of Education (1998-2002).
Bachelor in Law from the Universidad de Granada (1998).

Public Law, specifically Administrative Law, Financial and Tax Law, EU Law and Constitutional Law.
Career
Senior Associate and Head of the Legal Department of Landwell-PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Las Palmas, 2007-2009.
Advisor to the President of the Regional Government of Lanzarote, 2004-2007.
Research Fellow at the Department of Public, Financial and Tax Law of the Universidad de Granada, with a scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Education, 1998-2002.
