El Hefnawy, Menatalla Maher Abdelgeli

Menatalla (Menna) is an Assistant Professor of Finance at CUNEF. Her research focuses mainly on empirical asset pricing and investments. She holds a PhD and a Master of Research in Management Sciences from ESADE Business School, as well as a Master in Finance from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. She has been a Visiting Scholar at Nova School of Business and Economics and at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. Menna was awarded the Extraordinary Doctoral Award from Ramon Llull University for the best PhD dissertation. She is a recipient of the top Judge Business School Scholarship and the competitive pre-doctoral FI-DGR grant for academic merit.

Menna has several years of industry experience. She worked as an equity analyst, covering emerging markets and advising institutional investors. Her passion is to bridge the gap between academic research and industry practices.
